cac-donation-australiaThe first donation from the Climbers Against Cancers (CAC) campaign has been made at the Australian National Championships.

Each time, CAC plan to donate £10,000.00 ($15,000.00 Australian) to a different research facility in each Continent with the locations changing with each cycle.

By doing this at the most prestigious climbing events in each area CAC hope to help raise awareness of the disease and also highlight the great nature climbers.

The next stop is Briancon, France in July at the IFSC World Lead Championships. You can watch this event at live the IFSC website.

The 3rd donation currently being organised will take place at the IFSC World Youth Championships in Saanich, Canada in August with Sean McColl on board to help with the donation.

Below is a film of the presentation in Australia with Rob LeBreton (head of Sport Climbing Australia) and Caitlin Horan, herself a cancer fighter. It also includes a video filmed in Innsbruck featuring Australian climber, Chris Webb Parsons.

Don’t hesitate to show your support by donating to Climbers Against Cancer or by purchasing a t-shirt or hoody.
