The second donation from Climbers Against Cancers (CAC) has been made at the IFSC Lead World Cup in Briançon this Saturday, 20th July 2013.

CAC have already donated £10,000.00 ($15,000.00 Australian) at the Australian National Championships. The aim is to dontate to a different research facility in each Continent with the locations changing with each cycle.

By doing this at the most prestigious climbing events in each area CAC hope to help raise awareness of the disease and also highlight the great nature of climbers.

The presentation of the cheque took place just before the mens finals on Saturday the 20th, at approximately 19:15. CAC founder, John Ellison was at the donation, along with Laura Michelard, Sheila McCarron and Natalie Berry who are the representatives for CAC in France.

£10,000.00 – or €11,500.00 was handed over to La Ligue Contre le Cancer who are sent 2 representatives to the event to discuss the research that the money will help fund.

The 3rd donation currently being organised will take place at the IFSC World Youth Championships in Saanich, Canada in August with Sean McColl on board to help with the donation.
